My favorite Development Art

Favorite development art!

Some of my favorite designs from a project for Starburns Industries.

Big Sur and The Post Ranch Inn were inspirations for the designs, then I added extra details like the observatory on the roof and the compost room. Everything had to be sustainable including growing and storing your own food. The dam powered the town.

Rick and Morty BGs from Season 2

Rick and Morty BGs from the final episode of season 2, The Wedding Squanchers.

It took a few talented people to design and paint these BGs. Before shipping off to Bardel for animation, I would go through all of the sequences to make sure everything hooked up. James McDermott, Jason Boesch, and I would get a last chance to make any design changes, checking the action, boards, characters and FX for the scenes (This was an action packed sequence!).

I thought these looked especially nice!

Rick and Morty, Anatomy Park BGs

One of my favorite Rick and Morty episodes, Anatomy Park, featuring two of my favorite comedic actors, John Oliver and Dana Carvey.

GI Jeff BGs

Community did an entire episode in the style of 1980's GI Joe at Starburns Industries.
I was lucky enough to work on the project as BG paint lead.  We had a great team of digital painters who had to mimic the hand painted style in Photoshop.

The show aired April 3rd
