My favorite Development Art

Favorite development art!

Some of my favorite designs from a project for Starburns Industries.

Big Sur and The Post Ranch Inn were inspirations for the designs, then I added extra details like the observatory on the roof and the compost room. Everything had to be sustainable including growing and storing your own food. The dam powered the town.

Stills from ANIMALS on HBO Feb 5 2016

ANIMALS

Created by Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano
Produced by the Duplass Brothers
Premieres on HBO Feb. 5, 2016

I was the color supervisor on this show along with an amazingly talented group of artists at Starburns Industries. Music and improv play an important role in what makes this show unique to animation. It has a gritty New York vibe that accentuates our societal issues along with our attitudes towards one another and animals. The writing is simple leaving room for improv and comedic timing in the animation. Phil Matarese and Mike Luciano had a specific vision for the series, but gave us the freedom to add more to the show.

GI Jeff BGs

Community did an entire episode in the style of 1980's GI Joe at Starburns Industries.
I was lucky enough to work on the project as BG paint lead.  We had a great team of digital painters who had to mimic the hand painted style in Photoshop.

The show aired April 3rd
Written by Dino Stamatopoulos  and Directed by Rob Schrab
